My drawings are an impression of my heritage into my memory and self image expressed.
It is a stamp on my mind of my past and what I have received into my unconscious being. It is an image that cannot be erased, thus, it is who I am, where I am from, what I have experienced, witnessed, and been affected by past and present.
My work is a spontaneous unplanned expression of this phenomenon made visible through my drawings by the repetitive use of geometrical, angular, and circular shapes and symbols that at times have transcended me to another level of consciousness, almost a form of intuitive meditation.
This form of expression has naturally demonstrated itself on a multitude of surfaces, be it paper, canvas, or obsidian stone.
